VERSeFest Was A Time!

We want to thank everyone who was out at VERSeFest this past weekend. It was such a blast. Thank you to Monty, Avonlea, all the volunteers, and all the new friends and old who we were able to visit with. Special thanks to all the people who came out to see Evan J Hoskins read on a rainy Saturday afternoon, thanks to Justin Lam from In/Words magazine, and Mark Frutkin for helping get us in the festival. VERSeFest continues to be the best festival in the country.

The following pic is by far our favourite, featuring two of the most amazing talents from the most memorable events of the festival, Fire and Ice. Meet Beth Anne Ellipsis and Truth Is, two of the four breathtaking spoken word performers at that show. Beth Anne Ellipsis and Truth Is also happen to run Guelph Spoken Word, so if you’re in that Ontario area you’ve gotta go and check them out. We hope to do a bit of collaboration on an event in Toronto very soon.

That was such a great show!

It seemed like a home-run: 11 people took the stage, everybody killed it, the sun was out, MANY books were sold, the audience didn’t want to leave, and we made new friends! That is exactly what Slackline is about. Thank you everyone!

+ We will be posting soon about all of our fun stuff we have planned for the Summer!
